BlackBerry Tour 9630 announced
RIM has launched their latest smartphone model named BlackBerry Tour 9630.
BlackBerry Tour 9630 is a 3G device designed to run on CDMA networks.
Mike Lazaridis said that this new model provides a compelling choice for the growing number of wireless customers looking to upgrade their existing cell phone to a smartphone.
They are going to sell it in the US market through Sprint Nextel and Verizon Wireless.
It is likely to cost around USD 200 with a two year long contract.
The phone supports high-speed 3G EV-DO Rev A networks in addition to 3G UMTS/HSPA and quad-band EDGE/GPRS/GSM networks.
It comes with 256MB of flash memory in addition to 16GB external memory cards.
Other features including support for GPS, geotagging and Blackberry maps.
