Disney and Asus launch Netpal netbook for kids

US based entertainment industry giant Disney is collaborating with Taiwanese computer maker Asus to launch a netbook model aimed at kids.

This new model has been named Netpal. It would retail for USD 350.

Disney Netpal features an 8.9 inch display and is of course powered with an Intel Atom processor.

It would be sold in two colour options: Princess Pink and Magic Blue.

Disney has developed a special user interface for kids that run on top of Windows XP for this device.

The user interface features different themes inspired by Disney movies like Cars, Toy Story, WALL-E and others. There are also themes based on popular Disney characters like Mickey Mouse.

The device features support for Wi-Fi networks but there is no support for 3G. Interested parents can get it with either a 16GB SSD or a 160GB HDD.
