Bing: Microsoft prepared to invest heavily in search
Microsoft Chief Executive Steve Ballmer has said that the company is prepared to spend heavily in their search engine operations.
The company recently launched their latest search engine product named Bing.
Microsoft Bing launch has been fairly successful and it has received favourable reviews from experts around the world.
Ballmer said that the company is prepared to invest up to 10 percent of its operating income in its search business for up to five years.
This means that Bing developers would have no shortage of funds for further enhancing the capabilities of the search engine.
Google has shown how web search has become one of the most important aspects of web surfing.
Ballmer said: “Our shareholders, I told them we were willing to spend 5 to 10 percent of operating income for up to five years in this business, and we feel like we can get an economic return.”
