Jaguar and Land Rover coming to India on June 28
Tata Motors are going to launch their recently acquired iconic auto brands Jaguar and Land Rover later this month in the Indian market.
The company has also plans to set up exclusive showrooms for these new brands in smaller cities in the domestic market.
Tata said that the models to be introduced in India would be modified for local conditions.
They are expected to introduce variety of new cars including the entire Land Rover SUVs in addition to Range Rover and Range Rover Sport. LR Discovery 3 is also expected to go on sale in India. Land Rover Freelander would arrive later this year as Tata is still working on modifying this car for Indian conditions.
Jaguar branded cars to go on sale would include:
Jaguar XK
Jaguar XKR
Jaguar XF
Jaguar XFR
Since, all of these cars would have to be imported for sale in India; the prices are going to be on the higher side.
Tata said that they are going to focus on brand creation and availability before setting big aims for the sales of these high end cars.
