Yahoo to launch a major rebranding exercise?
Industry sources are claiming that the US based internet media giant Yahoo is planning to launch a major rebranding exercise.
This project is being undertaken by the company’s newly installed Chief Marketing Officer Elisa Steele.
Yahoo is aiming to overhaul its brand with this new initiative to repair their bruised public image.
They are also going to enhance their focus on the end consumer which has been loyal to the company for so many years.
Yahoo has reportedly hired the services of brand consulting firm Landor Associates in addition to Penny Baldwin.
The company is likely to announce these major changes with the launch of their revamped Home Page which has been delayed by their CEO Carol Bartz.
Yahoo has been struggling to compete against the competition online. Google is already the market leader when it comes to search and online advertising. Microsoft recently launched their Bing search engine which has been performing well.
