Jaguar, Land Rover launched in India
Tata Motors has finally launched Jaguar and Land Rover luxury cars in the Indian market.
The Indian automaker had acquired these two brands from US based Ford last year for around USD 2.3 billion.
Tata Group chairman Ratan Tata spoke at the launch event: “It’s quite a memorable day in the history and heritage of Tata Motors… JLR has been well received and well established in India, but over the years this brand has been disconnected from India. Now, we have decided to extend the penetration of the two brands in India. I think the cars will exhibit the levels of technology and levels of performance here.”
Tata added that Indian customers would now have the option to buy Jaguar Land Rover cars here in India to experience their superior technologies.
