Apple might drop Nvidia from their products

SemiAccurate has reported that Apple has decided to drop Nvidia based graphic chips for their future models.

The report said that Apple might ignore Nvidia products for at least a couple of years.

The major problem for the conflict between the two companies is the manufacturing defects which are appearing on a number of MacBook Pro notebooks.

Apple might switch to Intel’s mobile Nehalem processors for their notebook and iMac range in the future.

They are already using the regular versions of these chips on Mac Pro products.

Apple’s cheaper products like the MacBook gained immensely from the shift to Nvidia from Intel powered solutions.

However, the Mac seems to be disappointed with the quality of chips being delivered to them.

If an Apple Mac goes down, people put the blame on the company not the component supplier.
