Hyundai i20 Diesel and Automatic launched

Hyundai India has announced the launch of two new variants of their Hyundai i20 premium hatchback.

The company has launched a diesel along with an automatic version for their customers in the Indian market.

The Hyundai i20 Diesel version comes powered with a 1.4 liter CRDi engine that provides a maximum power of 90PS@4000rpm and a peak torque of 22.4kgm@1750~2750 rpm.

The automatic version is available with a 1.4 liter GAMMA petrol engine. The company said that this engine is optimized for better performance while giving excellent fuel efficiency.

Both of these models are loaded with features like 6 airbags, rear disc brakes with ABS and EBD.

H S Lheem, Managing Director, Hyundai Motor India Limited spoke at the launch event: “The launch of i20 diesel is a proud moment for us, especially after the immense success of i20, both in India and overseas market. The i20 will also be available now with an automatic transmission – a first in the premium compact car segment. Both the variants, while offering the much needed fuel-economy to our customers, will also provide superior technology and best-in-class performance.”

Hyundai i20 Diesel: Rs 6.2 lakh – Rs 7.2 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi)
Hyundai i20 Automatic: Rs 7.31 lakh – Rs 7.72 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi)
