Sony Bravia TV to get Netflix streaming capabilities
US based movie rental company Netflix has announced a deal with Japanese consumer electronics giant Sony.
Netflix would now stream movies to Sony Bravia television sets which are connected to the web with a high speed connection.
This service would be provided free of cost to Netflix subscribers who pay at least $9 per month for a DVD rental plan.
Netflix has similar deals in place with other companies including Roku, Microsoft (Xbox 360) and TiVo.
LG and Samsung are also Netflix partners in similar service agreements.
Market analysts believe that this announcement could lead to Netflix support coming to Playstation 3 in the coming months.
