Microsoft Bing gains miniscule market share

Microsoft Bing is not yet challenging either Yahoo or Google in the search engine market but its market share is improving slowly.

Bing was launched last month as Microsoft’s latest challenger in the search engine market which is largely dominated by Google.

Yahoo is the first target for Microsoft Bing to overtake as it prepares to challenge Google.

Google maintains a healthy lead with a market share of 74.04 percent. Yahoo has a market share of 16.19 percent. Bing is at 5.25 percent. This data is from Hitwise.

Microsoft has been spending truckloads of cash in promoting Bing. It seems to be working though a lot more has to be done.
