Comcast to broadcast HBO and Cinemax online
Comcast has announced that they are all set to begin testing of online broadcast of HBO and Cinemax shows, movies and other content online.
This facility would be provided to around 5,000 subscriber households on a trial basis in the coming weeks.
This would be the first time that these two premium channels are being broadcasted online legally.
Comcast said that if the trials are successful they would launch the service nationally. It would be provided to their customers for free.
These channels would be available on Comcast.net and Fancast.com web destinations. Visitors would be asked to verify their subscription with a username and password.
