Amazon deleting ebooks from Kindle remotely
Amazon has done something that no one could have imagined.
The company has remotely deleted some eBooks from the Amazon Kindle devices.
The two eBooks removed from the user’s devices were “1984” and “Animal Farm” by George Orwell.
The company refunded the money paid for these eBooks into the customer’s account.
Amazon said that they had to take this step because the publisher changed their mind about offering an electronic version of their books.
So the company just went ahead… refunded the money and erased it without alerting the user of this development!
As some analysts have been saying… this is similar to a book store owner coming to your place uninvited… taking back some books… leaving the cash you paid for it on your book shelf… all while you were sleeping.
