Toshiba set to launch Blu-Ray media players?
Toshiba was the company behind the HD DVD format which challenged Blu-Ray for the next generation storage media format.
Toshiba lost the war to Sony as they gave up and discarded the HD DVD format.
The latest reports in the media claims that the company would finally enter the market with their own Blu-Ray media players.
The company could launch their first generation Blu-Ray media players by the end of the current year.
Toshiba had incidentally tried moving on to online streaming format to avoid entering the market with a product promoted by rival company Sony. But hardware based storage is here to stay.
