Optima announces Maemo powered mobile internet device
Chinese hardware company Optima has announced that they are working on a new mobile internet device that would be powered with Maemo mobile platform.
Incidentally, Maemo is only used by Nokia on their devices including Nokia 770, N800 and N810.
Optima OP5-E would become the first non-Nokia product in the market to be powered by this mobile platform.
The company said that their product would be powered with an 806 MHz Marvell PXA320 processor. In addition, it would feature support for technologies like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.
The device would feature a battery capable of providing 8 hours of backup. In addition it would also feature a 3.2 megapixel camera.
