Steven Madden suing eBay for fake merchandise sale
Steven Madden has announced that they are launching a lawsuit against online auction website eBay.
Steven Madden claims that eBay allows their members to sell fake watches on their store.
This latest lawsuit has been filed in the U.S. District Court in Manhattan. The lawsuit accuses eBay of trademark infringement.
The company further claims that they had notified eBay of these fake items being sold on their network but no action was taken.
eBay on their part claims that they lead the industry in innovative solutions to fight the sale of counterfeit items.
The company claims that: “Over 99.85 percent of goods sold on eBay have no suspicion of counterfeit.”
