Plastic Logic Reader would feature AT&T connectivity
Plastic Logic has announced that their upcoming eBook reader product would feature online connectivity powered by AT&T.
The device would use the online network to get updates and content from the web.
The company added that the device would also feature Wi-Fi connectivity for faster online access at home.
They are aiming to launch their Amazon Kindle challenger sometime next year. It is likely to feature an 8.5 x 11″ display powered by e-ink technology.
The company added: “We’re extremely proud to be able to offer the Plastic Logic Reader with the nation’s fastest 3G network through AT&T. This alliance is a pillar in our strategy to provide mobile business professionals with a device that delivers a great reading experience, and is fully connected through 3G and Wi-Fi to deliver easy access to digital content.”
