Disney to offer movies on microSD cards in Japan
Walt Disney Japan has announced that that they are now going to offer their movies on microSD cards along with DVDs in the market.
This would allow customers to carry along their movies inside their portable media players on the move.
Disney is planning to have these combo discs in the market as early as November this year.
Market sources say that the DVD and card would be sold in a bundle for around 4,935 yen which would be slightly higher than the price of just the DVD version.
Some of the movies planned to be offered in this package include Pirates of the Caribbean and National Treasure movie series.
Panasonic would be providing them the technology and hardware for the storage cards.
