CrunchPad details revealed unofficially
CrunchPad is one of the most talked about gadget in the market which is not coming from a high profile PC manufacturer.
It is the dream project of TechCrunch founder Michael Arrington.
His aim was to develop a touchscreen device that can be used to browse the web.
Reports in the media claim that the specifications of the first version of this device have been leaked.
Arrington is not amused by these reports and states that these are not true.
The rumours claim that the device would feature a 12-inch touchscreen. It would weigh around 1.2 KG. Users would be able to watch online videos. They would also be able to edit documents and files using web based services.
The OS is customized version of Linux and it was developed specifically for this device. It would lack any form of storage as it is focused on using web based services for all the tasks.
