FCC questions Apple and AT&T over rejection of Google Voice on iPhone
U.S. Federal Communications Commission has decided to intervene in the mess Apple has created with the approval process for applications for their iPhone device.
The FCC is specifically interested in the Google Voice application that was rejected by Apple from appearing on the Apple App Store.
They have written to both Apple and AT&T along with Google asking them reasons to why Google Voice and related applications were rejected.
Apple is being asked if AT&T was the reason behind the rejection of Google Voice on the iPhone platform.
They are also seeking clarification on the differences between Google Voice and other approved VoIP applications available for the iPhone smartphone model.
They are also seeking data on which other applications have been rejected by Apple and on what grounds.
