HTC to launch Google Android smartphones in China this year

HTC has announced that they would launch a couple of smartphones in the Chinese market powered by Google Android mobile platform.

HTC is currently the leading supplier of smartphones based on the Android platform.

The company said that they are planning to launch at least three mobile phones in china before the end of the current year.

One of these models would support China’s own 3G standard. Two of these models would be HTC Click and HTC Hero.

China officially has no Android based smartphone on sale at the moment. HTC aims to change that in the coming months.
