Apple under fire for exploding iPods
Apple iPod is the most popular digital media player product in the world.
Millions of them have been sold around the world.
A couple of these iPods have been reportedly to be defective and some of them in fact caught fire and blew up.
One such case is making a lot of news in the media these days.
Ken Stanborough claims that his daughter’s iPod Touch exploded a couple of weeks ago. It was out of warranty.
He contacted Apple about the incident seeking a refund for the iPod Touch.
He did get a letter back from Apple which said that they could provide a refund provided he would keep the matter out of public eyes.
Apple is being criticized heavily for this kind of a response. Legal experts believe Apple cannot put such a condition without the involvement of the courts.
