PayPal goes down for almost an hour!
Wall Street Journal has reported that eBay owned online payment service PayPal went down for around an hour on Monday.
The report said that the problems started at around 10:30 AM Pacific Time. Most customers had regained access to the services in around four hours.
PayPal is one of the most popular modes of making payments online. The downtime meant that thousands of their partner sites could not process payments during the period.
Sources claim that PayPal generally process around $2,000 in online commerce a second. A downtime like this could have caused significant losses for their bigger customers.
Ebay has not commented on this report yet.
