Apple makes more money than rivals in mobile phone business
All Things Digital has reported that Apple is the most profitable mobile firm in the world.
The company makes more profits than any other player on sale of mobile phone products.
This report is incredible considering Apple has just one model iPhone that is sold in limited number of countries around the world.
And it is a smartphone model and not a cheap mobile phone!
The report said that Apple made around $5 billion in the first half of the year 2009. This puts them in the fifth spot in the mobile phone makers list. They are behind Nokia, Samsung, RIM, and LG on this front.
However, the exciting numbers are profit figures. The report claimed that Appleās profit were around $2 billion which is more than Nokia!
This means that Apple is making around 32% of all the profits in the mobile phone market.
