Google changes search result page ad placement on widescreen monitors?
On a widescreen monitor, if you search for something on Google that gets some ads on the result pages, the ads are usually aligned on the right side of the browser window.
So, on a widescreen monitor, you end up with tons of space between the search result and the ads in the right column.
Google seems to have changed that behaviour.
The ads are now positioned just next to the search result. So they land right in the middle of the screen if you are on a widescreen display.
Here are some screenshots to make the difference clear.

We are looking for comments on this new development. We can see this change on our side. However, a friend of ours still get the old style search result pages.
