Global Gaming Factory close to signing deals with record labels?

Global Gaming Factory made news when they announced that they were going to acquire popular p2p site The Pirate Bay.

The company has now revealed that they are pretty close to signing a deal with a major record label.

Company chief executive Hans Pendaya said in a statement: “We almost have a contract ready with one of them.”

No names were revealed though it was made clear that the company was one of the four giants: EMI, Universal Music, Sony Music and Warner Music.

If a deal is reached, the music could then be sold through The Pirate Bay.

Incidentally, The Pirate Bay has always been known for their opposition to the record labels. The service is popular for providing torrent links to copyrighted media content.
