Homi Vyarawalla cancelling her Tata Nano booking
Tata Motors might be taking on the world with their Nano small car model but they are failing in the public relations department.
The company started delivering their Nano small car to customers last month. They have delivered around 3000 units already.
However, they have failed one high profile customers who was assured an early delivery.
India’s first woman photojournalist Homi Vyarawalla was promised that she would receive her Nano on a priority basis.
The company apparently forgot that commitment.
Vyarawalla has revealed that she has decided to cancel the booking of her car. She said: “I have written to the Tata Motors to cancel my booking.”
She apparently was not amused to hear that the company had already delivered around 16 cars in her city and her name was not on the list.
She added: “I do not know how long I will live. I find it difficult to do anything without the car. It is not a luxury but a necessity for me. Everybody keeps on enquiring about the delivery and it hurts me as there is no communication from the company in this regard.”
Vyarawalla is 96 years old.

That is a bit funny. Nano is living up to its name of People Car’s. Preferring general public over celebs. :P
