Nokia might switch to Maemo for most of its smartphones

TechCrunch is reporting that Nokia is tired of their recent acquisition Symbian already.

The mobile phone industry leader might switch to Maemo for most of their future products.

The company already uses Maemo in their portable tablet devices.

Nokia has officially declined to comment on these reports.

But it is a fact that Symbian is finding it hard to compete against Apple iPhone and Google Android.

Both iPhone OS and Android are designed for touchscreen devices.

Even Microsoft is enhancing their Windows Mobile platform for such devices which are becoming very popular in the market today.
