SpringSource acquired by VMware for USD 420 million
VMware has announced that they are acquiring SpringSource for $420 million.
This is the biggest acquisition deal signed by VMware in its history.
VMware specializes in providing virtualization solutions which has become a huge industry in the recent times.
SpringSource provides solutions to companies to develop JAVA based applications.
This deal would expand the services and products offered by VMware.
VMware had this to say on this new acquisition: “We wouldn’t do this transaction if we didn’t fundamentally believe it would fuel growth and our strategic position with customers.”
