China Unicom all set to launch Apple iPhone in China?
Chinese media sources are indicating that Apple iPhone is finally coming to this market officially.
China Unicom is expected to make an announcement soon.
The reports added that the Apple iPhone to be sold in China market would be a stripped down edition as Wi-Fi functionality would be disabled.
Sources indicated that the two companies have finally agreed on a deal which would enable Apple to launch their iPhone in the world’s largest mobile market.
China Unicom could introduce the iPhone in China as early as next month.
Industry experts said that the Wi-Fi functionality is not liked by mobile operators because it enables the customers to save on mobile bills by using free Wi-Fi hotspots.
