Apple claims external pressure led to exploding iPhones
Apple has been facing criticism for the recent reports on iPhones which are practically exploding.
Apple has been investigating the damaged units and the company has for now said that the units they checked exploded due to external pressure.
The company denies that the problem is connected to defective batteries powering these devices.
Apple said: “To date, there are no confirmed battery overheating incidents for iPhone 3GS and the number of reports we are investigating is in the single digits. The iPhones with broken glass that we have analysed to date show that in all cases the glass cracked due to an external force that was applied to the iPhone.”
Around 10 Apple iPhone owners in France have till now reported that their units exploded without any possible reasons.
