AT&T, Apple sued for not providing MMS service on iPhone
Apple had promised that the MMS functionality would be enabled on their iPhone smartphone by late summer.
The feature is yet to be enabled by AT&T on their networks for the iPhone.
Both Apple and AT&T have been sued for using tricky marketing to lure users into buying their services.
Deborah Carr is behind this latest lawsuit and she claims that she was fooled into believing that the iPhone 3GS featured MMS functionality by default.
The lawsuit stated: “Millions of customers, as a result of the false and deceptive representations and concealments of Apple and AT&T purchased the 3G and 3GS, waiting for the wonderful day in June 2009 when the new application would be available which would allow MMS. Unfortunately, after downloading the new 3.0 Software Update application, MMS still did not work on both the 3G and 3GS.”
