Sharp PC-Z1 mobile internet device announced
Japanese tech giant Sharp has displayed their latest tech gizmo named PC-Z1.
Sharp PC-Z1 is essentially a mobile internet device featuring a 5 inch touchscreen.
It is designed to run web based services and applications.
The company said that the device is small enough to be a smartphone but is powerful enough to be used as a secondary computer.
Sharp PC-Z1 comes loaded with Linux OS based on the Ubuntu distribution. It can boot up in just around three seconds. It comes with Mozilla Firefox web browser with support for Adobe Flash.
Other features include:
68-key keyboard
802.11 b/g wireless networking
512MB of RAM
4GB of flash storage
It can handle an additional 16GB storage space through external cards. It would go on sale next month.
