China Mobile focuses on oPhones while China Unicom gets the Apple iPhone
China Unicom has just announced that they would be launching the Apple iPhone smartphone in the Chinese market later this year.
The deal is not exclusive so there is a possibility that China Mobile might enter into a similar deal with Apple in the future.
China Mobile currently is focusing on their own range of Ophones which are powered with Google Android platform.
These devices are being made for the company by Lenovo, Dell and HTC. These would be sold in the Chinese market with China Mobile branding.
