China’s Ministry of Culture might have some terrible news for Baidu

Baidu is the most popular search engine service in the Chinese market.

China remains the biggest web market in the world.

Baidu search is one of the most used search engine in the country to search for music files.

The company does not host any of these files but provide links to third party sites hosting the MP3s.

This could soon become a major headache for the company as the China’s Ministry of Culture has hinted that they are going to establish stronger policies on search engines when it comes to digital media search.

Search engines in China could soon be forced to link to only those sources which provides access to legal digital media.
