Third generation Apple iPod Touch might be delayed
AppleInsider has reported that Apple might have to delay the launch of their next generation iPod Touch media player device.
Apple iPod Touch is expected to be updated at the Apple event tomorrow. The company might showcase the new model but shipment might be delayed by a couple of weeks (or months perhaps). Of course, no one but a few people at Apple has the answer to this question.
The report said that the company is facing problems related to the rumoured digital camera component of this new iPod Touch.
We have already heard multiple reports of iPod touch cases being manufactured in China which features a hole for the camera.
Apple’s tomorrow event would still be connected to music and media players as their invites have suggested.
I guess we would have to wait for another couple of hours to find out what the company has in store for us.

I'm so anxious to find out what all the new things added on to the ipod touch are going to be. I really don't care if its delayed since im probably going to get mine around Christmas. I just really hope the event wont take place around 9 pm tommorow or something . :S

OH BIG DEAL! couple of week delay, I thought the delay might be MONTHS. That is hardly delay at all. But if it is true that the delay is due to the camera component, then that is good news that the Itouch will include a camera.

id hate if it were delayed for weeks or months, i want it to come out tomorrow!! or at least the day after, very soon! Ive been waiting since december to get the 2g…time passed and soon i started hearing about the 3g.And now that i have enough money and no other obligations to worry about i want it now. im anxious.o.0

Wife has the 2nd gen Touch. I would buy the 3rd gen one provided it has a decent usable camera. GPS won't hurt either!

ughh my 1st gen broke and it costs around 150 to fix it so I figured it’s about time to upgrade. soon. so I can listen to music. but it got delayed.

I asked Apple on line about the camera being absent on the new release. They told me they couldn't speculate on future products, only comment on existing ones. I suggested that a lot of people were going to be very unhappy! Not sure how long to wait. Any thoughts….?

of course. ipod nano is now a much better buy for a lot of users.
i guess they had to do that to keep the nano relevant. ipod touch already has the support for apps which makes it special!
