Oracle ends computer deal with Hewlett Packard

Oracle has announced that they are ending their computer manufacturing deal with HP as part of their decision to acquire Sun Microsystems.

Sun Microsystems is of course a rival company in the PC manufacturing market.

Oracle has worked with HP to develop special edition computers aimed at the database market.

They are now developing such products in collaboration with Sun.

Oracle Chief Executive Larry Ellison showcased the latest edition of their specialized database computer, dubbed Exadata.

The company added that this is just the first of many products they aim to launch in the coming months.
