Phishing sites now use chat feature to lure victims!
RSA FraudAction Research Lab has reported a new innovative feature being used by fraudsters to lure victims into giving away their personal information.
They call this new attack “Chat-in-the-Middle”.
They invite the victim to a phish website which looks like the original. In addition to the standard login box, this system also comes loaded with a chat option.
The victim gets to chat with the ‘bank representatives’ who ask for more personal data.
The report said that the attacks are currently targeting customers of a single US based bank.
