Via Technologies announces NetNote platform
Via Technologies has announced their NetNote platform.
NetNote platform is designed for machines which are more capable than netbooks but are not as powerful as laptops.
The company spoke about NetNote: “Intel’s trying to artificially differentiate between thin and light notebooks, based on CULV, and netbooks based on Atom. The sweet spot for us is in the middle.”
Via said that their platform is designed for devices with screens measuring from 10.2 inches to 12.1 inches.
They are already providing such solutions to PC makers like Lenovo and Samsung.
Via claims that their NetNote platform is capable of playing 1080p high-definition video.
