Google wants to dominate display ads market now

Google already is the market dominating force in the text ads segment.

The company now aims to do well in the display ads market. Yahoo does well in this segment traditionally.

Google has just launched the new edition of their ad exchange. This is part of their acquisition of DoubleClick.

Google had acquired this company last year for a massive USD 3.1 billion.

The new market has been named DoubleClick Ad Exchange. It is aimed to make it easier for publishers and advertisers to buy and sell ads online.

Google said: “The objective from the outset is to grow the display advertising pie for everybody.”
