Microsoft could launch two smartphones next year
Industry sources say that the software giant could launch two smartphone models next year based on the much talked about Project Pink.
The company already has a pretty strong base for these smartphones in Zune HD.
Microsoft has denied several times that they are working on self branded smartphone models as they provide the Windows Mobile platform for third party manufacturers.
However, with Apple iPhone, Palm Pre and Google Android entering the market, things are changing pretty rapidly for them.
Windows Mobile is no longer the platform of choice for most manufacturers and Microsoft is likely to enter the market themselves.
The company is said to be working with Sharp on these smartphone models.
