Microsoft to release critical bug patches next week

Microsoft has planned their steps of removal of the blockage of the Service Pack 2 update for Windows XP based systems quite well. They would be doing so on April 12, which lies on the second Tuesday of the month. This day is scheduled for the releases of critical bug updates from the software giant. This coming Tuesday is no different.

The software giant has indicated that they would be issuing eight security alerts with patches some of which are quite critical. Some of the applications affected by these bugs are Microsoft Office Suite and the MSN Messenger, which just got a new final release. Five of these eight alerts are related to the Windows Operating System.

Some of the updates would also require rebooting of the patched up computers, which means that the fixed bugs are quite critical. This release of information is part of the process where the company releases the details about the upcoming patches prior to the release so that the system administrators of the companies and individual users can prepare themselves for the hectic schedule waiting for them. The company has not released any more information about the upcoming patches.

In addition, two more high priority updates are scheduled to be released with these patches, which are not related to security updates.
