Arthur Levinson resigns from Google Board
Google has revealed that Arthur Levinson has resigned from their board of directors.
Arthur Levinson is the chairman of the biotech company Genentech.
Arthur Levinson is incidentally on the board of Apple.
This revelation comes just months after Google CEO Eric Schmidt had to resign from Apple board.
Apple and Google are increasingly becoming rivals in more and more markets.
US Federal Trade Commission has welcomed this new development as they are generally against board members who are connected to companies which are rivals.
Google and Apple are already competing in mobile market (Android and iPhone). They are set to become rivals in the operating systems market (Mac OS X and Chrome OS).
Al Gore is currently the only remaining link between Apple and Google. He is on Apple board and also serves as an advisor to Google.
