Google has stated that they are closing in on the stage when YouTube would start generating money for them.

YouTube has been a loss making platform for the company. They acquired it at a very high price. And the expenses to operate it are massive.

YouTube recently announced that they were delivering more than 1 billion videos every day. This means that Google is getting enough opportunities to monetize these views.

It would be a major achievement for the company when they make this service profitable considering the massive size of the project.
