AOL working on something new that could be huge

AOL has hinted that they have been working on something new and they plan to showcase it in the coming months.

AOL CEO Tim Armstrong was speaking at the Web 2.0 Summit. He said: “We have been working on something for the last three months that I think is a fairly substantial shift in our technology. When that’s ready to announce, maybe we’ll come back and talk to you about it.”

Armstrong added: “It’s a broader platform with more information around content and the creation of content. We see that platform evolving to a much higher scale.”

AOL has a pretty strong network of blogs powered by a customized platform named Blogsmith. Maybe they are going to release a public edition of this engine.
