Nokia lawsuit can cost Apple USD 1 billion!
Industry experts have stated that the patent lawsuit filed by Nokia against Apple is pretty solid and it could cost Apple a lot.
The reports claim that Apple could end up paying something between USD 200 million to 1 billion if Nokia manages to convince the court.
Nokia has claimed in their lawsuit that Apple iPhone infringes on 10 of their owned patents.
Apple iPhone has been a bestseller ever since it was launched 3 years ago. It has already managed to achieve a 15 percent share of the smartphone market.
Apple however is a very new player to the mobile market and this means that they do not have the intellectual property to avoid these kind of lawsuits.
Ben Wood, research director at CCS Insight even went on to say that: “It is almost inconceivable that someone can produce a mobile phone without using Nokia patented technologies.”
