Verizon Droid might be a series of Android powered smartphones!
We have been hearing a lot about this new Droid smartphone that would be launched by Verizon sometime next month.
Verizon and Motorola launched a marketing campaign related to this new upcoming product.
Engadget has reported that the much talked about Motorola Droid smartphone might not be a single phone after all.
The report said that Droid is probably the name given to Verizon’s range of Android smartphones which would include several devices from different manufacturers. Motorola would be the first one to release a Droid branded smartphone. HTC could be next.
And that is the reason why the campaign did not show any photo of the upcoming Motorola phone.
Motorola Sholes might be the first of the series. It might be followed by HTC Desire branded as Droid Eris.
