Google OneBox Music Search service launched

As expected, Google has launched their new music service named OneBox.

Google OneBox has been launched in collaboration with Lala.com and MySpace-owned iLike.

This would now make it very easy for web users to find and acquire new songs simply by using the search engine.

Google said: “We are very excited today to be introducing a music search feature. The search results will allow you to do a whole song play to verify it is the song you are looking for.”

This is exciting stuff! Even Apple iTunes does not provide access to the full song which you are planning to acquire.

Users would be able to hunt for a song by searching for artists, titles, and snippets of lyrics.

This service is currently available only in the US market.
