Google: Google Voice block calls to limited numbers
Google has revealed in a letter sent to the Federal Communications Commission claiming that their free Google Voice service blocks access to just around 100 numbers most of which are adult chat lines and free conference call services.
Google is facing criticism from the FCC after AT&T protested that they were blocking access to some numbers from companies which charge high connection fees.
AT&T and other regular telecom companies are forced to connect to these numbers which cost them a lot of money.
Google has stated in the past that Google Voice is not a regular telecom service so it cannot be compared to services provided from companies like AT&T. And they block access to some numbers to keep the cost of running this service low.

I think this seems fair, why should they connect to numbers that are so expensive to connect to?
