YouTube U2 event had around 10 million streams!
Variety Magazine claims that the U2 live event broadcast on YouTube was watched through as many as 10 million streams worldwide.
This is probably a record for an online streamed event.
YouTube had this to say about the event: “This was a big win for the YouTube community.”
It also is the biggest such event for the Google owned video sharing service which could probably offer more such shows for live streaming online.
The show ran for around 2.5 hours and Akamai Technologies was one of the infrastructure provider. It went on smoothly and is now a big success.
