Sanford Wallace ordered to pay for Facebook spam
Facebook has won a lawsuit filed against Sanford Wallace for spamming on their network.
The courts have awarded damages worth 711 million dollars.
Wallace is popularly known as the Spam King and Spamford due to his company’s profile.
He also now faces criminal charges and a possible jail term.
Facebook spoke about this legal victory: “While we don’t expect to receive the vast majority of the award, we hope that this will act as a continued deterrent against these criminals.”
Spam has become a major problem for social networks. It already plagued our emails.
